Hi! I have very weird situation: MAPS is able to collect currest OS installed on PC's, but cann't collect what Office versions are installed. I'm able to do it manually via Powershell and I have got this information (Office version) without any problem.
I have check Powershell as one as MAPS collector techology, but it's didn't got any results. How I can replicate collector operations of MAPS with Powershell by myself?

MAP Toolkit Inventorty Help
Hello,
I ran a MAP report. I would like to see the reults and export them into Excel. I want to know the PC or Server Name, and the products running on each device. I searched the app but could not find anything. I saw some general overviews but nothing providing the data I need.
Does anyone have a step by step process on how to do it. I searched the Microsoft sites and learned that Microsoft excels in being able to generalize. It says you can do it but not exactly how.

CALS reports are blank
Hi,
In our environment we have ran MAP,we are trying to evaluate the the SQL Server Licencing pattern under Per core\Server + Cal.After the report gets generated,it contain the entire details regarding the Sql server but the CAL part is showing"NO data to show"... Can Map achieve the above requirement? Please suggest.

Access denied, error code 0x80070005 WMI connection

I'm having trouble making a remote connection using WMI, an error message and access denied, already realized the following tests without success.
The computer first try to connect to Server 1 using the Wbemtest, however it appears the error message access denied 0x80070005, the User I'm using and Domain Admin.
Create a rule in the firewall for WMI
I created in the Firewall Rule for DCom 135
I put the User I'm using the group "Distributed COM Users"
If I give a \\ server1 \ c $ can not connect successfully.
I can conctar using remote connection successfully.
I do not know what to do need help

Missing details for sql server in MAP reports
Hello,
We have an MAP 9.3 on our enviourment to assestain the CALS for a Sql Server, the inventory details are ok,but we are getting blank results against "No. of users and devices connection sql server" is 0. Dont know what went wrong!!! Kindly suggest what need to be done....

Hi,
It appears that MAP 9.3 has a bug as it is not identifying a that has device is part of a SQL Cluster. I've looked at MAP 9.2 databases and it is correct.

Another installation option
I am trying to install MAP 9.3 on a server at my work and it fails with about 5% to go. There is an error that appears that says "sqlservr.exe has stopped working". Is there any way to have all the components of the MAP Toolkit be encompassed
into one .ZIP file?

Is it possible to create a scheduled task for Microsoft Assessment & Planning toolkit to carry out a regular inventory of clients (Windows Computers/Active Directory discovery). We have a highly mobile workforce and need to run regular captures to grab the inventory data.

SQL Connection Status: Failure
Hi, i just want to get this clear.
Im trying to discover all sql server and databases, on alot of the server i get connection failure, even though i have sysadmin permissions.
Some servers have named instances and some have the standard sqlexpress/mssqlserver.
So to be clear, is it just the firewall that need to be configured on all these servers or can it be another problem?

Missing and Incorrect data returned from MAP Toolkit 9.3
I ran a discovery on our network for our SQL Server systems using MAP Toolkit 9.3. We recently set up a new SQL Server 2014 Always On Cluster. Only one of the nodes is returned in the spreadsheet. Also, We are running SQL Server 2014 (12.0.4427) on our
instances and it is returning (12.0.2000) for the instances on the one node in the 2014 cluster. I was hoping to present this Tool as a SQL Server reporting solution to my Director... but if the information is not present and/or incorrect.... I will not do
so. Has anyone else had this occur?

MAP showing Enterprise version after reinstallation SQL Server to Standard
Hi,
I inventoried SQL Server, there was SQL Server 2005 Enterprise version. I uninstalled SQL Server 2005 Enterprise and install SQL Server 2005 Standard. I rerun MAP 9.3.9, but MAP still showing Enterprise version.
Second time I deleted host from these tables:
[Inventory].[AllDevices_Assessment].[HardwareInventoryEx]
[Inventory].[AllDevices_Assessment].[HardwareInventoryCore]
[Inventory].[AllDevices_Assessment].[CategorizedDevices]
Database showing standard version. But MAP still showing Enterprise version. How I can fix it or from where MAP checking SQL version?

Task Processor Failed when running assessment
I am running MAP v9.3 on my Windows 7 workstation. MAP doesn't seem to have any problems collecting data from our environment. However, when I go to assess our inventory, the process fails. This occurs in the "Overview" pane
when clicking "Refresh Assessment". In the lower left-hand corner, it then says "Task processor failed". I tried looking for logs under "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Assessment and Planning Toolkit\bin". However,
I don't see any log files under this directory or its subfolders. Any ideas on how I can get this up and running for us? Thanks.

MAP v8 upgrade to v9.3, database cannot upgrade
I'm attempting to upgrade a system from MAP v8.0 to the latest version, v9.3. I can get the application installed, however the database will not upgrade.
Is there some kind of upgrade path that I can take or do we need to start new databases from scratch here?

MAP Database Export Issues (Running on Windows 10)
Hi there,
I have been trying to assist a client with getting an export (.bak file) to us and he keeps getting an error (this is the first time I have come across it) - it doesn't seem to matter where he is trying to export it to it does the same error. He has tried the desktop and various other locations.... He has a Windows 10 machine - is this the issue? are there some sort of system settings which do not allow the .bak file to be created perhaps?
A failure occurred while exporting the database. Refer to the log file for more details. Cannot open backup device 'C:\Users\name\MAP\Database Backups\MAP_5uib2ape.zfq\MAPdb.bak' operating system error 3 (the system cannot find the path specified). BACKUP DATABASE is terminating abnormally.
Please help...
