Hello, I've just performed an inventory by running one scan with the MAP.
Now I want to adjust some wizard settings and perform a second scan using the same DB.
How to do that?

Running MAP Toolkit Across Multiple Domains only provides 38% success
I have a client that has installed the toolkit and its shows it completes, but it never shows more than 38% success. The client has a total of 6 domains they are trying to capture in the report. They have administrative privileges and they have trusts established between two forests. We'd be happy if we could get it to report back with 80% or better success. I'm wondering if the issues is related to using a SQL Express database and we are just capture more data than SQL Express can handle.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

Is it possible to scan more then one domain with the MAP tool
Is it possible to scan more then one domain simultaneously with one MAP scan? For example if a customer has three domains with 100 computers each. Is it possible to run one MAP scan for all three domains to inventory all
computers?

Days Since Last Activity Incorrect
On the Active Device Usage Tracker report. The days since last activity information seems incorrect. I even did a test with my own machine. I am logged into the domain on a machine that is a domain member. I just rebooted and logged
back in. I reran the report and it says 7 days was the last activity for my user account.

Issues setting up MAP 9.3 via RDP or VM under Hyper-V
Environment is Windows 10 Enterprise LTSB (not joined to domain), running Hyper-V with a VM also running Windows 10 Enterprise LTSB thatIS joined to a 2012 domain. Reason for configuration is that I am preparing VMs that will be transitioned to a private cloud.
Issue:
When installing MAP 9.3 via RDP or on a VM console under Hyper-V, I ran into this issue -- the "All Computers Credentials" interface doesnot have the "Create" or "Edit" buttons.
Cause:
?? Hoping someone can resolve this so MAP 9.3 can reside on a VM under Hyper-V
Resolution:
I had to install MAP 9.3 on a physical computer running Windows 10 Enterprise LTSB where the buttons to create and edit credentials appear. Short term this will work for one of my companies, but I would not be able to use a physical box for another of my companies. Any of you run into this and find a better solution to keep MAP on a virtual machine?
Additional Info:
I resorted to playing with resolution/Full Screen, using the /ADMIN and CHANG USER /INSATLL; and even resorted to see if I could TAB to the hidden buttons, or try to find their hot-key ALT+?? combination. Physical box was the only fix.

Connect to MAP Database via SQL Management Studio
Hi,
What is the default server name of the MAP database when you install MAP Toolkit ?
A customer of ours would like to know which of the pcs has e.g. MicroSoft Access installed and which version.
I cannot get this info easily from the MAP Toolkit console and I would like to run a script on the database.

HELP with install PLEASE
For the last two days I have been trying to reload MAP after I had an issue with my PC .
I have de installed SQL, re loaded SQL Express 2014 and then tried to load MAP but all I get is "Setup failed to update the product. Fix the issue and run setup again"
I spent 50min this morning discuss with Partner support only to find they do not support MAP.
Can anyone help please

Urgent MAP tool 9.3 and Inventory problems

I am getting less than 10% success on my data collection...I have been trying to follow the known problems and suggestions but I have failed to overcome the inventory failures.

SQL Server Version value results
Hello,
I am using Microsoft Assessment and Planning Toolkit version 8.0.5427.0 to inventory our SQL Servers. I noticed that the SQL Server Version values in the SqlServerAssessment Excel spreadsheet frequently do not match the actual version number on the server itself. For example, I have version 11.0.3339.0 on a server, but the value for that server in the spreadsheet is 11.1.3000.0.
It does not seem like this is an Excel formatting issue because I see the same values in the the SqlServer_Assessment.SqlIntances table in the MAP database.
Are there any settings that I am missing to get the SQL Server version values to match?

what does MAP tool windows server inventory "Number of servers that were discovered but not assessed" means

I have installed MAP tool and performed scanning for windows server inventory, then i have exported the data to excel. IN the spreadsheet two rows as "Number of servers that were discovered but not assessed" and "Insufficient Data or Not Inventoried". What does this represents?

Skype For Business Results
In MAP 9.3 I am not seeing any results for Skype for Business. I see the two earlier instances (which have no users) Lync 2010 and Lync 2013. But we have since migrated to Skype for Business 2015 and it does not show up in the results anymore. Is this
a bug or is there something more I need to do to get the results for our true up. I need the number of users actually using Enterprise licenses and who is just using a standard license.

I've been tasked to "collect performance data" for several MS servers (2003, 2008R2, 2012R2) using MAP 9.3
I have installed MAP 9.3 on a Windows 7 machine that meets all requirements (hardware, all Windows updates, .NET Framework)
I have a total of 14 MS servers that I would like to collect performance data.
First step I have taken was to run "collect inventory data" which has been100% successful for all servers.
(to collect inventory data, in Inventory and Assessment Wizard I have selected "Windows computers" > "Manually enter computer names and credentials > entered the credentials domain\username with WMI technology)
*** When I attempted to collect performance data using the "Performance Metrics Wizard" the processFAILED
I soon learned that WMI required certain firewall ports opened on the server attempting to collect performance data and I decided to focus on one server only.
I made sure that the Domain Admin credentials have Local Administrator rights
I have taken the following steps on the server (2008R2):
1. Turned off Windows Firewall for Domain, Public, Private profile
2. Enables Remote Administration Exception
3. Ran WBEMTEST (Win Instrumentation Tester) tool from Windows 7 PC connecting to the 2008 R2 server and I was able to authenticate
After everything checked out, I pretty much ran out of options: PLEASE HELP!
Here are the exact steps I have taken to collect performance data in MAP 9.3 using the Performance Metrics Wizard
1. Selected "Windows-based machines"
2. Chose the server from the list
3. Entered the credentials (domain admin with local computer admin rights)
4. Credentials Order >> WMI Technology (domain\username)
5. Made sure Remote Registry services were started on the Windows 7 machine
6. Clicked "Finish" to start the performance data collection
7. Collection Status: FAILURE

MAP and DC/AD
Hello all,
We are attempting to run MAP from our VMware vCenter Server and we only get results from the vCenter Server itself and not from any of the other virtual machines.
I was told that we require a Domain (Domain Controller/Active Directory),which we do not have, in order to run MAP against our VMware virtual environment (vCenter). Is this true or are we missing steps?
We have followed the steps in the below link with minimal success.

Additionally, we have a SQL Server in our environment and have also viewed steps on installing MAP there and adding another instance, but have not tried that yet.

SCOM 2012 R2 - SQL monitoring
Hi,
We have SCOM 2012R2 and monitoring SQL cluser. and the server is appearing in Agentless managed.
Just to understand, to pull the report do we need to search with the cluster name or the Server name. As I am not able to pull the report if I search with the server name.
Also I need to get the report for CPU, memory for that server. I am getting blank.

MAP & SCCM
Hello,
Current Env:
- Server 2012R2
- ConfigMgr v1602
- MAP v9.3
- All three on a member server, DC is separate.
I have installed MAP. Configured discovery & plumbed it into SCCM. After it runs I have so many clients with "Insufficient Data" and I fail to see why.

MAP 9.3 -- Office 2016
