I am running this for the Windows computers and it's discovered 5182 machines. All but 3 have been inventoried. The last 3 have been running for the past 15 hours. If I close the out of this data collection, will I still be able to see the
results in the Environment tab and generate the inventory results report?

MAP and SCCM Integration
Hi!
Can somebody clearly answer what is the benefit for using integration of MAP and SCCM?
MAP can download all needed information from SCCM or it simply download information about managed computers? If second there is no reason for using such integration, becouse all needed information can be founded in AD.
Also, I want to clearify question about needed access rights for SCCM user. Which access rights to which items needed?

Que puede ser, si la autenticación se realiza sin problemas por AD?.

MAP transient error when generating reports
Hi all,
I'm using MAP 9.3 and there is a transient issue when generating reports.
The error is "There's was an error in the document generation process." An excel file will still be created but with no data populated in it.
It occurs on MAP both installed on 2012R2 and 2008. Is there a way to identify the root cause? Thanks.

Admin User credential used for scanning w MAP - creates user profile on all target machines?
Hello
Is it correct that the Admin Credential that is used to scan with will also create a User Profile on all the Servers/Clients that is being inventoried?
Please confirm.
Some organization see that as a threat because they create a specific user for this purpose only.

I reran the inventory in MAPS but none of the upgrades appear.

Location of report generated by MAP
Hi - I've run a few of the readiness reports in MAP but I can't find where the reports/proposals are generated to! When I click on 'Generate report/proposal', I get a status window and it generates either a proposal or a workbook, but I can't find these anywhere on my machine. Am I missing something?

Does anyone know where I can look to find out why a handful of SQL Servers in our estate are not getting collected by the SQL Server inventory?
I have run the "Generate Inventory Results Report" and the database servers are listed in the report with a WMI Status of "Successful"

Hi,
What is the default server name of the MAP database when you install MAP Toolkit ?
A customer of ours would like to know which of the pcs has e.g. MicroSoft Access installed and which version.
I cannot get this info easily from the MAP Toolkit console and I would like to run a script on the database.

Unable to fully inventory SQL Server 2016
Hi,
Are you guys working on an update to MAPT at the moment that would allow us to inventory the new generation of software you are releasing this year?
I currently have SQL 2016 in Pre-Prod but MAPT is unable to Inventory it fully so leaves alot of data out which could be useful.

I can connect to the MAP SQL Express Database that was created. Under the database, I see a table for many items. Can I generate a query based upon two tables so I can find out who has Visio installed? Which tables would I need to use?

Host - Guest Details - VM Report
When assessing virtual machine licensing it is essential to know what O/S the physical host is using. However in the Host and Guest Details tab of the VM Report of the sample data for MAP there is a Windows O/S listed for just 1 machine in the Physical Server or Management Partition Operating System column (the rest are VMWare or blank) yet the relevant Windows operating systems for all the other physical hosts do show up in the Host Summary tab. Why does it not populate the said column in the Host and Guest details tab as well?
In addition I have recently assessed some other data where the Host Guest tab listed 8 machines with a Virtual FQDN but unknown in the physical server name and virtualisation technology columns. The inventory Results show that the virtual machine is on a VMWare Virtual Platform and running Windows Server 2003 Standard but without the data in the VM report I cannot ascertain details of the physical host server. What may have prevented map from finding the related physical server?

Good Evening, Can you please help me to do microsoft license auditing in a workgroup network using
MAP tool, I tried to do the same but i am getting report from only one computer which i installed the tool kit i will give a small briefing what steps i did in inventory process. in inventory and assessment wizard the (1)option is scenario there i give check mark in windows computer (2) Discovery method : Manually enter computer name and credentials (3) all computers credentials: i give the admin user name and password of the computer which i install tool kit (4) just give next option (4) enter computer manual option i give create and mention the other system name username and password which connected in the same workgroup network. (5) Next (6) Finish
But as i noted above i am getting report from one machine only ...........Team please help me to rectify the mistake i am making while doing license auditing

SQL Server Database Reports
I know that the information I require is available by accessing the database directly but the SQL Server database reports show the status of the database
| Status=ONLINE, Updateability=READ_WRITE, UserAccess=RESTRICTED_USER, Recovery=SIMPLE, Version=706, Collation=Latin1_General_CI_A |
However this information is truncated and is useless if we are using it to match candidate databases for Azure SQLDB migration using the Collation. can we please have this increased to show the fill extent of the Status data from the database please
On another note are there plans to incorporate the DTU calculator into MAP to help with SQLDB migration planning?
