I need to perform inventory of PCs in a large distributed environment which consist mostly of Windows XP SP3 computers with a small addition of Windows Vista and Seven. All the PCs are joined to an AD domain. I've performed all the preparation steps described in MAP wiki, and in addition shut down Windows XP firewall service. Mostly those PCs could be scanned successfully (including PCs running Windows 7).
I've installed Windows 8 Enterprise on some computers. None of them could be scanned with MAP Toolkit. Error description: "Failed - Access Denied". A rare exception to this rule is a couple of computers where local administrator password is the same as password of domain administrator account used for scanning. MAP Toolkit scans them successfully and shows correct hardware and software description.
What additional settings Windows 8 needs to allow remote access of MAP toolkit?
